I wonder if anyone else realizes that at the rate these AI generated Things-on-the-internet are going, we’re going to end up with an internet so chock full of inaccurate information and junk that it’s basically a poison chalice to the web as we know it. It’s effectively a virus. A self-perpetuating system of bullshit that will make it impossible to use the internet as we know it. And it’s going to cost billions in dollars and possibly lives…

For the curiously inclines, the ancient Egyptians used to believe a very similar thing about names. You had a name only you and your mother knew, and a name used in the world. One reason for this was so people couldn’t use your real name against you for spells and magic.

Current? Okay. Book/s: Fools Assassin by Robin Hobb, The Last Empire by Brandon Sanderson, The Priory of the Orange Tree, La Belle Savarge by Phillip Paul Paulman. A book about the cultural history of mushrooms I can’t remember the title of (its on my bedside table somewhere). Last thing I watched… oh. Uh. First few episodes of Outlander. Not sure if I’ll continue with it. Game/puzzle/crafts: Balders Gate 3, Final Fantasy 16, The Sims 4, Graveyard Keeper, Cyberpunk 2077 (I switch around depending on my mood/available time). obviously this is biased towards my age range and stuff
I had to wear a God awful uniform until my senior year as is the norm in high schools in my country. Senior year there were only about 30 or so of us in the whole year (country school). I dyed my hair red and went goth though i was really more of a weeb, though it was not a term i was familiar with at the time. It was 2002.
